Usually, the university releases the merit list for all the categories separately. The DU LLM merit list consists of the name of those who are eligible for admission to the college in the LLM program. 

According to records, the university releases two to three merit lists annually.

This is because, after every round of counseling, the university reconsiders the number of seats vacant. Then, it releases the merit list with names of those who can apply for admission under the two or three-year LLM program.

Tie Breaking Rules for DU LLM Merit List 2023

Usually, lakhs of students participate in the DU LLM examination. Therefore, there are high chances that some of you score equal marks in the exam. In order to break the tie between two students, then there are certain rules that shall be considered by the authorities. Go through the section below to learn about the same. 

• The candidate who has secured high marks in the LLB course shall be preferred over other students.
• In case the tie does not resolve, then the agency will consider the marks of the examination conducted before the final qualifying examination of LLB. 
• If a tie still persists, the final preference shall be given to those whose marks in class 10+2 are higher.

DU LLM Merit List Released: What’s Next?

The agency releases the DU LLM merit list having the names of the candidates who have cleared the examination by securing high marks. If you find your name on the merit list, you will be asked to complete the registration formalities for the counseling round. 

After the DU LLM counseling registrations are over, you will be asked to appear in the counseling round. On the day of the counseling, a chosen panel will go through the documents submitted by you. Next, they will check the authenticity of the documents, and then you will be assigned college and department on the basis of the AIR in the DU LLM exam.
