If you plan to join Delhi University for the LLM program, then you should know about the eligibility criteria.

The university has not prescribed any age limit for the examination. The official brochure includes the details of all the criteria, i.e., academic qualification, age relaxation, etc.

The university has also notified that if a candidate fails to qualify for any of the DU LLM eligibility criteria, he shall be disqualified. 

DU LLM Eligibility Criteria 2023

If you wish to write the examination, you must abide by the DU LLM eligibility criteria.

If you fail to qualify for any of the eligibility, you will not be allowed final admission to the LLM program. 

Age Limit

The agency has notified any age limit for the DU LLM examination. This means you can apply for the exam if you have qualified for other criteria.

Educational Qualification

As per the DU LLM information brochure, you should have qualified for a three-year or five-year LLB integrated program for LLM eligibility criteria for DU. You can apply for the examination if you are in the final year of your UG degree.

Minimum Marks

• For EWS category students, you must pass the LLB degree with at least 50% marks. 
• For SC/ ST category students, then you should have scored at least 45% marks in the last qualifying degree.

DU LLM Eligibility Criteria 2023: Important Points

Besides the basic DU LLM eligibility, you must also qualify for the important points mentioned in the section below. 

• If you are currently enrolled in the LLB program and are studying in the final year. Then, you are eligible to sit for the exam. However, the final selection shall be made only if the aggregate marks are more than the one prescribed for your category. 
• Those of you who are in the final year will also be required to present the final result during the counselling round. 
• The university has notified that if you are a general category student and belonging to widows or wards of ex-servicemen who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards. Then, you are eligible for relaxation equal to 5% marks in the minimum qualifying marks.
• If you belong to the physically handicapped category, you are also eligible for age relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum qualifying marks.
• You are not allowed to round off your aggregate marks. This means if you have shared 49.9% marks, you cannot consider it 50%.
• If you are already enrolled in the LLM program offered by other universities, you are also not eligible for admission under the DU LLM program.
