What is the XAT exam?

• The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is an all-India-level management entrance examination to enter the prestigious Xavier School of Management (XLRI) and various other associated management institutes.
• For more than 74 years XLRI has conducted the XAT exam at all India level to select the most appropriate candidate for management education.
• The XAT exam is conducted every year in January by XLRI on behalf of XLRI Associate Member Institutes (XAMI).
• The XAT exam is conducted across 70+ XAT exam centres across the country with almost every state having at least one XAT exam centre.
• More than 160 institutes are using XAT exam scores for admission.

XAT Exam Centres: How to select the XAT exam centre?

The steps below guide you to select the desired XAT exam centre.

1. Register for XAT 2025 on its official website.
2. Fill out the application form.
3. After entering the relevant details, move to the ‘Select test city’ section.
4. You need to enter 2 cities in the order of your preference (Read the points to take care of while selecting the XAT exam centre)
5. Complete the form and the payment.
6. Click on the submit.

XAT Exam Centres: Important points to take care about

These are the important points you should take utmost care of while selecting the XAT Exam Centres:

• You can choose 2 preferred test cities as XAT Exam centres while filling out the XAT application form.
• You need to select the cities in the order of preference.
• In case, seats are full at the XAT 2025 exam centre in the first city of preference, you will be allotted a centre in the second city.
• You are advised to choose the XAT exam centre/city closer to your city of residence.
• The final authority to allot the XAT exam centre rests with the authority and you need to check it on the admit card.
• The XAT exam centre won't be changed once the admit cards are out.

XAT Exam Centres: Do’s and Don’ts

• Carry two printouts of the XAT 2025 admit card and an original copy of any identification ID issued by the Government of India.
• Visit the XAT 2025 exam centre a day before the exam to know the location and distance from your location/stay. This will help you assess how much time it will take to reach the centre on the XAT exam day.
• Reach the XAT test centre before reporting time on the exam day.
• Do not try to enter the XAT exam centre on time and without permission.
• Do not leave the exam hall until asked by the invigilator to vacate it.
• There will be no provision to keep bags, phones, etc. outside the XAT exam centre, hence avoid carrying any such item.

The following items are prohibited from carrying inside the XAT Exam centres:

• Electronic devices like mobiles, smartwatches, laptops, tablets, digital cameras, etc.
• Bags & Purses
• Study material or plain paper or sheets
• Jewellery items or any metal objects like keys, rings, earrings, etc.
