IPMAT Selection Process 2024 (Domestic & International Applicants)

The IPMAT selection process for IIM Indore differs for domestic and international applicants. We will discuss each below: 

Selection Process (Domestic Applicants)

The selection process for IPMAT 2024 (Domestic Applicants) involves five stages, as explained below:

Step-1: Registration

• You must keep a scannd copy of your documents that will be required while filling out the form.

• You can apply for the exam only if you fulfil the IPMAT Eligibility Criteria 2024 set by the exam conducting body.

• The entire application process is done online only.

• The application fee is Rs. 4130 for the general category and Rs. 2605 for the SC/ST/PwD category.

Step-2: IPMAT 2024 Exam 

• You will be called to appear for the Aptitude Test, the second stage of the IPMAT selection process. 
• IIM IPM Aptitude Test is conducted across 36 cities in India.

IIM Indore IPMAT 2024 Exam Pattern

As per the IPMAT Exam Pattern 2024, there will be three sections in the Aptitude Test:

• Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ)
• Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA)
• Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ)

There are a total of 60 questions in the aptitude test, and each question carries 4 marks.

Also, there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer except for in the Quantitative Ability (SA) Section.

Step-3: Selection of Eligible Candidates for Personal Interview

• The Admissions Committee will decide the minimum cut-off marks in each section.
• The minimum cut-off marks in each section will be based on your category.

Step-4: Personal Interview (Online/Offline)

In the fourth stage of the IPMAT selection process, you will qualify for the Personal Interview (PI) based on positive raw scores and a minimum mark in each of the three sections of the Aptitude Test.

Step-5: Merit List Generation & Final Selection 

• You will be considered for the final selection process based on the IPMAT Cut Off marks 
• Category-wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS)
• Provisional admission offers will be made accordingly, adhering to the Government of India reservation norms.

IPMAT Selection Process 2024 for International Applicants Applying through SAT

Seat Intake- 5

Suppose you apply to the five-year IPM of IIM Indore as an international applicant.

In that case, you will be selected based on your:

• SAT Test score 
•  Personal Interview (PI) performance

You shall not be considered for the final selection process if you fail to appear in SAT or PI.

Step-1: Application Procedure & Eligibility Criteria 

• The first stage of the IPMAT selection process is the registration phase, in which you must submit your application form on or before the last date.
•  Submit the online application form only if you satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria.
• Go through the IPMAT Syllabus 2024 & exam pattern to understand the exam requirements. 

Step-2: Personal Interview

• You will be shortlisted for the next round of the selection process based on the merit list generated using the SAT score. 
• You will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process if you do not meet the minimum performance in any of the PI parameters.

Step-3: Final Merit List 

You will be considered for the final selection process only if you satisfy the requirements mentioned in the earlier stages.
